Mr. Attar was the first person in Kolhapur district to start the service of issuing airline tickets, which is why he is regarded as the pioneer of the tourism industry in the region.
He founded Nandini Travels with the support of the renowned industrialist of that time, Mr. Devchandbhai Shah. In the early days, he would travel to Belgaum and Pune to procure airline tickets and deliver them to customers. After obtaining IATA authorization, he began sourcing ticket stock directly from Pune.
He also organized group tours to countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, personally accompanying these groups once or twice every year. His work ethic was highly organized, and he maintained an excellent relationship with his office staff. He always ensured that no one faced inconvenience or hardship because of him.
Due to certain circumstances, his association with the Shah family came to an end. Later, he partnered with the Konduskar family and established Rasika Travels. Even then, his approach remained the same—he always cared for people and made sure that no one was put through unnecessary difficulty.
